"This month, I’ve had the privilege to talk with Melissa Carpenter and Tennielle Ludwig, the chair and vice chair of the Manufacturing, Clinical Trials, and Regulatory Committee (MCTR), and to learn more about the work of the Public Policy Committee, led by Sean Morrison. The contributions they are making address critical priorities of the ISSCR and reinforce why membership in the Society is so vital." I am excited to share that the ISSCR Education Committee that I am chair of is preparing an exciting CME course (on demand and open access!) to educate clinicians in the rapidly evolving field of stem cell medicine. We believe this will provide a great tool to help practicing physicians guide themselves and advise patients on available stem cell therapies and trials. Produced with the unwavering support of the International Society for Stem Cell Research staff and in partnership with Harvard Medical School, the first unit will be released next year! It is the hard work of the wonderful team of stem cell scientists and physicians that forms the ISSCR education committee and that I have the privilege to work with.
New Continuing Education Course on Stem Cell-Based Medicine Coming Soon! Developed by the ISSCR, the open-access course covers key topics for healthcare providers, including stem cell biology, cell therapy product design and clinical trials, the unproven stem cell intervention industry, and effective patient communication. It is designed to equip participants with the knowledge needed to navigate the rapidly evolving field of stem cell medicine. Harvard Medical School will be accrediting the course and producing the course materials. 👉 https://bit.ly/4fGKhAm “This is a significant moment for the ISSCR,” said Valentina Greco, PhD, ISSCR President. “The project is a testament to the efforts and vision of many, and in particular the ISSCR Education Committee."
