Hunt Refining Company recently held employee appreciation events at all locations for our employees. Many were recognized for their mile-stone service achievement. Pictured is Renee Smith, Crude Oil Logistics Coordinator at our Melvin, AL location, who celebrated 35 years of service. Hunt owes a huge debt of gratitude to our employees who have invested their life in our company.

Employee groups assisted Tuscaloosa’s One Place, Arts ‘N Autism, the United Way of West Alabama and Brookwood High School with various projects. Thank you to all our participating employees for serving the community!

Alabama Bulk Terminal employees in Mobile participated in the United Way of Southwest Alabama’s 30th Annual Day of Caring on April 24th. Employees assisted Feeding the Gulf Coast by sorting food donations, inspection of donations for expiration dates, and verifying ingredient labels. Feeding the Gulf Coast works in partnership with more than 800 agencies and community partners to distribute over 30 million pounds of food annually to the 24-county service area through the food bank’s hunger-relief programs. Thank you to our employees for serving the community!

The awards were: Top 25 Employee Campaigns (Ranked #1), Top 25 Per Capita Campaigns (Ranked #2), Top 10 Corporate Gifts, and Top 10 Overall Campaigns. Hunt Refining Company employees participated in the 2024 Junior Achievement Bowling Classic! This event is held annually to raise money to pay for Junior Achievement (JA) programs that are provided free to students throughout Tuscaloosa County. Hunt Refining Company was a sponsor of the Northport Bunny Trail, a fundraiser for the Junior League of Tuscaloosa. Downtown Northport was lined with decorated 5’ tall eggs. Each egg is sponsored and decorated by local businesses, organizations and individuals. The HRC-sponsored egg was decorated by the American Heart Association. The Junior League of Tuscaloosa is committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Proceeds from the Northport Bunny Trail are used to support programs and initiatives that serve the local community.
