In North America, CORE turnover increased to CHF 2,132.6 million in the first half of 2024 with organic growth of +6.9% year-over-year. In the U.S., growth across both travel retail and F&B was robust, supported by traffic trends and solid demand from domestic and international passengers. Canada continued to benefit from the progressive recovery of Asian travelers over the quarter. During the second quarter, we expanded our presence in the U.S. significantly, which included securing a 15-year contract with John Wayne Airport (SNA). We also had new openings and significant store upgrades, including a Hudson Nonstop in Dulles International Airport (IAD). Read more about Avolta's first-half 2024 performance below.

Today, our charitable arm in North America, Journey For Good Foundation, announced its inaugural grant cycle, awarding $500,000 to 26 charities. Thank you to the tens of thousands of travelers who made donations in our travel convenience, specialty retail, and duty-free stores, and to each of our team members who support Journey For Good Foundation's fundraising efforts. As we continue to hear the emotional stories about the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in Houston, our hearts go out to those impacted — especially our team members at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport, and Space Center Houston, along with their families. We are proud that during such a difficult time, Hudson is able to offer those in need of financial assistance the opportunity to apply for a grant to help offset the cost associated with recovering from this natural disaster.
