We are thrilled to announce that the City of Houston has been awarded a $50 million Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development! This funding will be dedicated to renovating and expanding Cuney Homes in the historic Third Ward. Houston is one of only seven cities nationwide to benefit from the $325 million Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant for FY23/24. This $50M grant, the largest ever awarded in Texas, signifies a groundbreaking achievement for our city. This competitive grant will enable us to enhance housing, provide comprehensive services, support infrastructure, and promote economic prosperity for the community. This collaborative effort showcases what can be achieved when we work together for a common goal.
