After leaving millions of Houstonians in the dark, literally and figuratively, CenterPoint finally released its own outage map. The problem? Many are reporting that the information on the map is inaccurate and unhelpful. Customers are becoming increasingly frustrated with the company and have turned to alternate methods to find accurate information (thanks, Whataburger). We are continuing to cover CenterPoint in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. Follow live updates at http://houstonlanding.org

“Where there’s money, it’s not like this” Beryl killed at least ten people and knocked out power for 2.5 million more. Like Harvey before it, the hurricane hit some Houstonians harder than others. https://lnkd.in/g6dJ_kF4

💡 CenterPoint Energy said they will begin to provide "more specific" estimates Thursday morning for when customers without power can expect it to return. The estimates, if they arrive on time, would come about 72 hours after Hurricane Beryl wiped out electricity for over 2 million Houstonians. https://bit.ly/4cY6WGD
