We loved having having Hal Sutton serve as the speaker yesterday at the F.M. Law Park Shootout benefitting First Tee Greater Houston. We sold out both waves and raised over $17,000 for our capital campaign to make much needed improvements at F.M. Law Park.
Yesterday, I was at a charity day for the First Tee of Greater Houston at F M Law Park. What a nice well attended event it was for the First Tee kids. Brian Ladet and Claire Bey are working hard in their Capital Campaign and they are off to a great start. It was fun for me to be there and say a few words about how I started at a 9 hole course where there wasn’t always a good lie. As we all know, golf is such a great parallel for life. Life isn’t always a good lie or a bad lie, you just gotta keep going!! This is a great cause to give to because the First Tee’s 9 core values of honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment are the ingredients of building a solid foundation for young golfers.
