We’re proud to announce that, in the three years since Hey Jane launched, we’ve helped more than 50,000 people get the reproductive and sexual health care—including abortion care—they need. From day one, we’ve been committed to providing safe, supportive, discreet medication abortion treatment (no in-person clinic visit necessary), and today offer a range of reproductive and sexual health care services from the comfort and convenience of your phone. Not only have we helped people get the care they need, but we also became the first virtual abortion clinic to accept insurance, expanded our reproductive and sexual services, signed onto amicus briefs to support access to medication abortion, and more. While much has changed during this pivotal time for abortion access, our focus has remained steadfast and our patients remain at the center of everything we do. We are so grateful to everyone who has trusted us with their care. Our patients are the reason we work so hard to continue to expand access, make treatment more affordable, and reimagine what a compassionate medical model can look like. And we’re not slowing down now. #telemedicine #telehealth #healthcareinnovation #abortionishealthcare

This important survey released by Nurx makes clear the impact that ongoing attacks on abortion access have had on the broader reproductive health climate. A few findings that stand out: - 49% of respondents feel anxious about accessing in-person care for their reproductive and sexual health - 37% of women are using telehealth due to the political environment - 25% have experienced judgement or shame from their medical provider regarding their reproductive and sexual health concerns Shame and fear have no place in health care—and especially not in reproductive and sexual health care. I'm proud of the work that Hey Jane has done to be part of the solution by offering private, discreet, non-judgmental, and fully virtual abortion care, and am honored to stand alongside our partners at Thirty Madison in pushing for more supportive and accessible reproductive and sexual health care.

Today, we published the results of our Nurx survey: Reproductive Rights Watch 2024: How Women Are Responding to The Shifting Care Landscape. Among the findings, we found more than half of women surveyed are anxious about their reproductive freedoms given the political environment, and 49% of women feel anxiety about accessing in-person care for their reproductive and sexual health. Nurx remains committed to providing specialty healthcare to women that is accessible and personalized -  and with the results from this survey, we’re taking action. In a world that is trying to control care, control access, and control bodies, Nurx stands for putting the control back where it belongs: in women’s hands. We’re partnering with others in the women’s healthcare space over the coming months to speak out and help women take action and gain clarity on their reproductive and sexual healthcare choices. How you can help: - View the press release and share data from the survey: - Explore the full report: Nurx.com/repro-rights-2024 - Share your reactions to the survey - do the responses resonate with you? For far too long, abortion has been ignored as a key employee benefit. But, given that 1 in 4 people will have an abortion in their lifetime, it should be the standard. Recently Hey Jane's co-founder and CEO Kiki Freedman joined Employee Benefit News podcast Perk Up! to talk about reproductive health care and workplace benefits. With host Paola Peralta, Kiki sheds light on the importance of access to the abortion pill and its impact on employee well-being. "The abortion pill is a safe, effective option that many are unaware of," she explains. "It's health care, plain and simple." Discover why workplace support for reproductive rights isn't just beneficial—it's essential. From flexible telemedicine options to supportive company policies, learn how embracing these discussions can enhance both employee health and company culture. Research from UCSF confirms that medication abortion administered via telehealth by mail without first getting an ultrasound are as safe and effective as traditional in-person care. Published in JAMA, this study highlights the value of a "no-test" (or history-based) eligibility assessment. We know this to be true firsthand: Our expert clinical care team is able to determine whether someone is a good candidate for telemedicine abortion care with Hey Jane through a series of questions we ask during intake. Last week’s Supreme Court decision was a win—but it's not the end of attacks on abortion pills. Adriana Benedict (JD, MPH), General Counsel at Hey Jane, explains in a Huff Post op-ed why this "victory" is not what it seems, and how it leaves the door open for more baseless claims against mifepristone. As the leading virtual abortion provider in the US, it's important that we all stay vigilant and continue advocating for abortion rights. The good news? Mifepristone is still available, and you can receive care through Hey Jane. We’re here to clear up any confusion and remind everyone that medication abortion is a safe, effective, discreet, and common option for accessing abortion care. Let's keep pushing forward together! Last month, the Hey Jane team had an incredible time at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) conference. We were thrilled to connect with so many passionate professionals dedicated to advancing reproductive health! Our team left the conference feeling inspired and motivated by the amazing work being done in our field. We're excited to take the insights and connections we gained back to Hey Jane as we continue to revolutionize access to virtual abortion care access. A huge thank you to ACOG and to everyone who took the time to meet with us. Together, we are making a difference!
