We’re excited to announce that Healthcare Network has received a generous grant from the CHRIST CHILD SOCIETY OF NAPLES! Thanks to their support, we can help even more families in our community! This grant will allow us to provide 100 Pack ‘N Plays to underserved families, ensuring babies have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. It will also help us create Book Nooks at two of our pediatric practices in Golden Gate and Immokalee, transforming our spaces into welcoming environments where children can discover the joy of reading! Did you know that hypertension and preeclampsia during pregnancy can lead to serious complications for both mother and baby? Monitoring blood pressure and recognizing symptoms early are key to managing these conditions and ensuring a healthy pregnancy. Childhood obesity is on the rise, both locally and nationally. According to a detailed analysis conducted by our team, we found that 43.3% of our pediatric patients were classified as overweight or obese. At the start of the school year, Healthcare Network launched a school-based clinic at Manatee Middle School as part of an exciting health initiative! With parental permission, students can now receive well-being exams and medical care when they need it—right on campus. This clinic makes it easier for students to access essential healthcare, from routine check-ups to sick visits, helping them stay healthy and focused on learning. Research shows that school-based clinics in low-income communities lead to improved health and better academic performance, making this initiative all the more impactful! We can't wait to see the positive impacts this initiative will have on Manatee Middle School students!
