It’s another well-earned win for #HMBLaw. Plaintiff alleged that he was injured when he slipped on water that he claimed the store should have known about. #HMBLaw was able to prove to the Court that the Plaintiff had made numerous misrepresentations about the incident and about his current physical limitations. The Court agreed that Plaintiff misstated information to exaggerate and magnify his claim, which would have been falsely presented to a jury, but for the comprehensive discovery conducted by #HMBLaw. Accordingly, the Court granted dismissal of the entire claim. Hearty congratulations to our partner Stephanie Vo who skillfully argued the case! Women’s Equality Day is celebrated yearly on August 26th. On this day in 1920, Congress signed into law, the 19th Amendment which granted American women the right to vote. The celebration of this day reminds us of the hurdles overcome by the heroic women who faced violence and discrimination in their efforts to ensure equality. We have made many strides but there is still work to be done. Let’s continue to affirm the value of all women who make invaluable contributions and enhance the quality of our daily lives. #HMBLaw #HMBTrials #TrialLawyers
