GW and José Andrés name Stacy Dean as Inaugural Carbonell Family Executive Director of the Global Food Institute. Dean, a food and nutrition security expert, most recently has served as the Deputy Under Secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services. On March 26th GW’s Climate and Health Institute welcomed WUSA9 Meteorologist Kaitlyn McGrath to campus to speak about changes in how climate topics are communicated to the general public. The discussion covered topics such as climate change, seasonal allergies, and social media’s role in the newsroom.
