Today we are pleased to share two of the larger SBA deals we closed in July 2024. They really highlight the fact that 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 in SBA lending. The first of the two, a biz acq deal, was quite complicated and had to be re-worked several times in order to get it across the finish line. This deal required every bit of our Gulf Coast Small Business Lending team’s collective experience and effort to accomplish.  We were up for the challenge! Our second featured loan is a debt refi and expansion loan used by our borrower to open their 3rd concept, independent restaurant. Not every SBA lender is going to get behind a deal like this one, but our team has tons of 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 lending to restaurants, both franchise and independent, so for us it was another done deal! Auctions in August is a silent auction hosted annually (in August, go figure!) by our parent bank in New Orleans. Individuals, businesses, and non-profits may donate items and designate a non-profit of choice to benefit from the funds raised. Currently, the Auctions in August donation period is in full swing! Now through July 29, you can donate items to be auctioned off and designate a nonprofit to receive 100% of the proceeds. Then during August, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company hosts & facilitates an online silent auction, where bidders can win vacation stays, gift cards, sports memorabilia, event tickets, and more.  Bidding on items in the Auctions in August event is open to anyone and everyone! Once the auction begins on August 1st, auction items will be online for viewing, and online bidding.
