I’m delighted to share Grist’s new newsroom leadership—three talented journalists ready to meet the current moment, one of challenging prospects ahead for progress on climate change.
Katherine Bagley has already amassed a track record of outstanding excellence leading Grist’s editorial operations. She is now only the third editor in chief in the organization’s 25 years—and I’m absolutrly certain she’ll be by far the most successful.
Teresa Chin is one of the key hires I made to build Grist’s edit team in the past seven years. She’s an innovator in our space, and she’s the culture setter in the org as a whole.
And last but certainly not least, Jessica Stahl is a bold thinker whose expertise at the intersection of content and audience engagement will ensure Grist is making maximum impact.
I cannot overstate my confidence in this trio to push Grist to continue leading the climate conversation and grow our influence. Along with dozens of talented reporters, editors, and visual journalists; senior managing editor Jaime Buerger, who is continually building a more efficient newsroom; and editor at large Tristan Ahtone, who is building a highly collaborative and impactful Indigenous affairs desk, Grist’s future is blindingly bright!
Today, Grist leadership is proud to announce the promotion of its executive editor, Katherine Bagley, to editor-in-chief, part of a restructuring effort to better serve and reflect our growing newsroom. More: https://lnkd.in/g8nidZVJ
