☀️ As our Group’s renewable energy footprint continues to grow, we are pleased to highlight 2 of the 71 built U.S. #solar projects of Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), one of our #RenewableEnergy subsidiaries based in North America! Developed by GSI and operating since 2017, these solar projects in Orlando, Florida produce nearly 13 MW DC as part of a long-term power purchase agreement with the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC - The Reliable One) Stanton Power Station. ➡️ These projects integrate with OUC’s current energy grid, maximizing land use while generating additional clean energy, and are just a snapshot of GSI’s broad portfolio in the U.S. and Canada, including 388 MW of built operating assets and a future pipeline of over 2 GW under development. 🌱 We are proud of projects such as this, which help offset carbon emissions and promote #CleanEnergy solutions for a better future. We look forward to continuing to follow as GSI advances clean energy initiatives in North America!

  • Members from GSI’s team attended the 2024 NYC Solar + Storage Summit, hosted by Sustainable CUNY Smart DG Hub and New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA). They had the opportunity to meet hundreds of clean energy professionals from both the public and private sectors, allowing them to delve into the opportunities and solutions related to NYC’s rapid decarbonization. As GSI continues to make strides in the renewable energy sector, we remain committed to developing and enhancing our knowledge of emerging trends in the solar and storage sector through important industry events such as this. These opportunities contribute to continuing our momentum towards a more sustainable world through the advancement of clean energy. • For June’s project profile, we are highlighting our Stanton portfolio, featuring two solar projects located on the property of the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC - The Reliable One) Stanton Power Station in Orlando, Florida. Stanton Landfill Solar is a 6.82 MW DC project that operates on a capped ash landfill using ballasted foundations. Stanton A is a 5.75 MW DC project installed on a parcel of land adjacent to the Station’s other power sources. Both projects operate under a long-term power purchase agreement with OUC, reaching commercial operation in September 2017. Together, the Stanton projects contribute a combined 12.57 MW DC to our renewable energy portfolio, which plays an important role in offsetting carbon emissions from other power sources while bolstering and promoting cleaner energy generation solutions. By integrating these solar installations within the existing infrastructure of the Stanton Power Station, we are not only maximizing land use but also reinforcing our commitment to innovative, clean energy production. This aligns with GSI’s core ethos of building and contributing to a more sustainable future through the advancement of renewable energy.

  • In January 2024, Iyuhána Solar, a Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI) led partnership with Ocean Man First Nation, was announced by SaskPower as the successful proponent to construct and operate the 100-megawatt MWac utility-scale solar facility in Saskatchewan, Canada. As part of our ongoing dedication to community engagement and information, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Iyuhána Solar Project website!
