To round out #Pride Month, we wanted to touch on recent application trends within the LGBTQ+ and #GME community, along with scholarship opportunities available to candidates. According to last year’s Application Trends Survey, outreach by business schools to the LGBTQ+ community continued to grow in the past decade, increasing from 26 percent in 2014 to 45 percent in 2023. The amount of scholarships available to prospective GME students within the LGBTQ+ community has increased over the years; BlueSky Thinking has put together a list of 15 scholarships that students can apply for as they start their journey towards achieving an MBA. Share these scholarships with your prospective students to increase your outreach to the LGBTQ+ community! https://bit.ly/3LaIK85/ #GMAC #HigherEducation #GMAC2024

The 2024 Application Trends Survey (ATS) is in full swing gathering responses, so we’re highlighting key findings about the composition of applications from last year’s #ATS to help you understand the type of insights your participation generates--including how your program stacks up to you peers with our benchmark reports. 👩 Applications among women continued to stagnate across degree types and regions, with women only making up the majority of applications to Master of Accounting programs. 🎓 More first-generation candidates indicated they are interested in pursuing #GME compared to those who submitted applications in 2023. 📈 Consistent with broader U.S. trends, applications from underrepresented populations are at a post-pandemic peak and top pre-pandemic levels. By filling out the survey, you can ensure that you get the industry’s latest trends, where you can compare and contrast with your peer schools, and see what the next generation of applicants are looking for out of GME. Have you or your colleagues filled out the ATS survey yet? Check your email for your custom link to fill out the survey! The Corporate Recruiters Survey 2024 is now live on the #GMAC website! Based on responses from nearly 1,000 corporate recruiters and staffing firms around the world, the report focuses on trends in desired skills, hiring, compensation, and employers' overall perception of the value of #GME. The newest and most topical addition to the 2024 survey focuses on #AI, including employers perception of its value for current and future GME graduates and how AI is actually expected to be used in their organizations. More from the report: 🤖 Most employers are not too concerned about AI for today’s GME grads, but its importance is expected to grow—and soon. 🧠 Employers say the top three most important skills for current GME graduates are problem-solving, communication, and strategic thinking—with general consensus across regions. 💰 Employer confidence in GME is growing on measures of graduate success, promotion, and earnings—especially in the age of remote and hybrid work. ➕ Despite nearly three-quarters of employers reporting major or moderate influence of inflation and recession fears on their hiring decisions, more than a quarter of employers plan to expand their hiring of GME graduates in 2024, with a plurality planning steady hiring across degree types. Take a look at the full report to see what corporate recruiters are saying and how you can help your current students prepare for the working world. Thank you to our report contributors for all of their incredible work for putting this together! We are sad to say that this year’s Annual Conference is now over, but what an exciting final morning we had! With 20 different sessions for attendees to explore and learn, they certainly got their final fix of information and knowledge to take back with them and apply to their day-to-day work. Sessions this morning focused on topics such as implementing recent research into actionable tasks, recruiting across generations and demographics, #admissions strategies for the future, brand management, leveraging influencers in #GME, and so many more exhilarating and timely topics. To round out the conference, attendees worked towards making a positive impact by participating in a brand new service project to give a little back to our host city. Everyone helped to stuff backpacks full of essential school supplies and educational materials, which will be distributed by NetWork Volunteers to local schools and students within the area. All attendees were encouraged to represent and wear their school colors, which made for a very lively and vibrant room! What an incredible way to close out the GMAC Annual Conference 2024, core memory unlocked! 🔓 #GMAC #GMAC2024 #GMACAnnual2024 #HigherEducation

Day two is in the books! With over 40 different sessions that attendees could attend yesterday, there were plenty of opportunities for learning, growth, and connection! Sessions focused on an ample amount of topics including utilizing #AI, recruiting nationally and globally, understanding assessments, the impact of politics and elections on #GME, leveraging analytics, the varying formats of education, creative ways to approach your #marketing through video, storytelling, and captivating your audience, and so much more! Attendees were fully engaged with our GMAC Lounge and Exhibitor Hall enjoying lively conversations and plenty of timely questions. The chair of our board, Themin Suwardy, stopped by our membership booth to chat to attendees alongside Quincy Stein, as they handed out snacks and the report to schools. To cap off day two, attendees got to network and connect with new and old friends at the evening happy hour sponsored by SEED Global Education. They were able to toast to an invigorating and successful day of learning, collaboration, development, new experiences, and memories being made towards the future of the graduate management education world. It’s not over yet as we continue today with 20 more sessions for attendees to engage in and top off all of their new knowledge, followed by a service project to give back to the electric city of New Orleans! #GMAC #GMAC2024 #GMACAnnual2024 #HigherEducation #NewOrleans #Admissions #Recruitment

What a way to kick off the #GMACAnnual2024 this morning with an opening presentation from our CEO, Joy Jones, and our Keynote presentation lead by Nell Derick Debevoise! Our CEO, Joy Jones, opened the conference by providing an overview of the themes that will be explored throughout, while also discussing the current and emerging trends that are shaping the #GME landscape and what kind of impact this will have moving forward. Joy started the conversation about topics like the skills economy, equitable access to education, and the intersection of business and technology—and what that looks like on campuses and in classrooms—which will be further explored in over 60 unique sessions over the next two days. After a few incredible sessions, Nell Derick Debevoise, lead a powerful Keynote presentation, “A 3D Approach to Purpose: Manage Your Time and Energy, Attract Candidates, and Inspire the Future of Business.” Nell had the intention of positioning purpose as the driver of performance, and it’s safe to say that we have a better road ahead of us knowing how to steer purpose in the right direction. Nell taught us how to navigate our time, energy, attention, and money through the lens of purpose to achieve our desired impact of using business as a force for good in the world. Stay tuned for more updates on all of the enlightening and engaging sessions that attendees will be able to enjoy! #GMAC #GMAC2024 #HigherEducation #NewOrleans
