🏅 We’re excited to announce that our Paris 2024 work with Google, Team USA, and NBCUniversal won bronze at The Clios Sports Awards in the 'Fan Engagement: Partnerships & Sponsorships' category. 🏅 At the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games (AKA this year’s premier cultural moment), we helped Google partner with Team USA and NBCUniversal to showcase the power and helpfulness of Google’s Search and Maps AI products and features. While most tech companies exclusively pushed AI-focused messaging during commercial breaks, Google chose to show up where people were most engaged: within broadcasts, on social media, and in the hands of athletes. In the end, Google didn't just showcase its capabilities; it changed the game…. and won a Clio!    https://lnkd.in/e3wb9CA4   #Paris2024 #AwardWinning #Clio #ExperientialMarketing #SportsBiz

Today is Veterans Day. In recognition, we're sharing a reflection from GMR's Corporate Counsel, Molly Rose Madonia. To Veterans everywhere, we thank you for your service.   "This Veterans Day, I encourage everyone to reflect on how we can better support those who have served. When I asked my best friend, a ten-year Army Veteran, what his ideal Veterans Day looks like, he said that most Veterans simply want to spend time with loved ones, friends, and family. Do you have Veterans in your circle? In your family? Give them a call or a text. Is there a Veterans Day parade in your community? Spend some time observing the patriotism that unites all Americans and thank those in attendance. Is there an opportunity to volunteer with your community’s Veterans? Can you reshare a commemorative post on your social media, amplifying the sentiments of others? Or, can you simply observe a moment of silence to reflect, or briefly journal, about what Veterans Day means to you?"   #VeteransDay #EDEIC #DEI #ImpactandInclusion

We’ve all experienced an unhinged brand before and can immediately recall what we loved about them – maybe it’s Slim Jim immortalizing Macho Man Randy Savage’s demand for us to snap into one of their meat sticks; or maybe it’s social media 1.0 era Wendy’s giving a follower free chicken nuggets for life because they got 1,000,000 likes on a tweet. In this episode of the Voice of Experience, Max and Elke step into the world of Nutter Butter TikTok and other 2020s-era unhinged brands and ask themselves “who does this marketing appeal to?” and how can you take a brand’s bold and disruptive stance from social media and execute that strategy in the live events and experiences space? Oh, and stick around til the end when they talk about their own top career moment working with an unhinged brand – here’s a teaser: it involves a Slim Jim and an eye socket. GMR’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a place for StoryMakers to connect, build community, and create projects driven by passion. These groups are led by volunteers who are passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and creating a safe place to drive meaningful conversations. As part of our ERG Co-Lead Spotlight Series, we’re hearing from Claire E.M. Ailts, one of GMR’s Brand Designers who also serves as a Co-Lead for THRIVE, an ERG that supports persons with disabilities in the workplace. "As National Disability Employment Awareness Month closes, I've reflected about my time in THRIVE ERG. I found a home in THRIVE right from the beginning. THRIVE was the first place in my career where I felt safe to openly discuss my bipolar diagnosis. I was met with open arms, love, and acceptance. After being a member for a few years, I decided to co-lead so I could continue the welcoming legacy of THRIVE. The most impactful moments of my role has been hearing others share their stories and being in a position to show them the same community I experienced. Leading THRIVE has been a “bright bulb” experience at GMR and I am beyond excited for another year at the helm alongside my co-lead, Adam Rose. Thank you for everything, THRIVE!" #EmployeeResourceGroups #ERGs #ImpactandInclusion #DEI

As festival season wraps up around North America, GMR data scientist Mary Willcock joins the latest episode of The Voice of Experience podcast to share her experience attending Austin City Limits. And, since ACL is a two-weekend festival, Elke jumps in with her own experience in Austin, which she attended the weekend prior to Mary. Alongside Max, the group compares and contrasts things like how sustainability and waste management showed up across the festival, fashion trends for attendees, and, of course, their favorite brand activations. Halloween may be a week away but that didn't stop us from celebrating a little early with #GMRClient the LEGO Group. #Halloween #ExperientialMarketing

Last weekend, we celebrated Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas at the LEGO store in Disney Springs, Lake Buena Vista, FL. This family-friendly event captivated attendees of all ages with an array of engaging activities. Guests helped build a 'mystery mural' crafted by the LEGO Shop, participated in a Haunt & Seek scavenger hunt, wore fun Halloween-inspired headbands, snapped photos with a life-sized LEGO statue of Jack Skellington, and created their own LEGO Spider souvenirs.   After two days of effort from countless enthusiastic participants and customers, the mural was completed. Thousands of attendees proudly took home their LEGO spiders, a memorable token from their time at the LEGO store in Disney Springs. Witnessing the joy and sense of accomplishment on the faces of both children and adults reminded us of the importance of creating meaningful experiences.   We extend our heartfelt thanks to our the LEGO Group corporate partners, the fantastic LEGO store team at Disney Springs, and the Disney Springs staff for their operational support in bringing this event to life. Special appreciation goes to Tracy Locke for the creative direction. Last but not least, we couldn’t bring this to life without our amazing colleagues here at GMR – a sincere thank you to John Larson, Corrie Risher, and Hannah Harms. We look forward to the next exciting adventure! #GMRClient #LEGO #DisneySprings #LEGOEvent #TheNightmareBeforeChristmas #EventMarketing

GMR’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a place for StoryMakers to connect, build community, and create projects driven by passion. These groups are lead by volunteers who are passionate about fostering a sense of belonging and creating a safe place to drive meaningful conversations. Today, we're sharing a reflection from Michelle Siporin, one of GMR’s Account Supervisors, who also serves as Co-Lead for GLOW, an ERG that supports our female StoryMakers. "GLOW serves as a beacon for many StoryMakers at GMR, myself included. I am honored to be co-leading this ERG. Since taking this role, I have grown so much and have continued to strengthen my leadership skills and step outside of my comfort zone creatively. I have been able to use this platform to not only share my passion but create a safe space for others to speak their truth. From discussing the significance of the Barbie movie to embracing travel as a solo woman, I have seen this group show unwavering support for one another. My co-lead, Peggy, and I strive to not only curate exciting programming but continue to empower our StoryMakers and the agency to never be neutral on inequity. Always know your worth and advocate for yourself!" #EmployeeResourceGroups #ERGs #DEI
