Just over a year after initiating the project for thermal destruction of #PFAS in soil using #smoldering as part of the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)/SERDP & ESTCP demonstration, Grant Scholes and I had the opportunity to witness the unloading of freshly treated soil from the #STARxpress System! The Savron Solutions and Geosyntec Consultants team is thrilled with the results... and the views are hard to beat!

🌟🚣🏼♀️🏞️ This week, the Geosyntec Consultants Pittsburgh office hosted its annual early career professional outing! Fourteen of our amazing team members spent the day white water rafting in beautiful Ohiopyle, PA. It’s always exciting to get outdoors for adventures and team bonding with such a great group of engineers and scientists! Pictures are before and after a long day of paddling on the lower Yough! 🚣🏼♀️

Criss-cross applesauce, it's earthquake lesson time in Pre-K! We read books about earthquakes, colored the national seismic hazard maps (I thought they captured the epistemic uncertainty brilliantly), and did shake table tests of magna-tile, Jenga, and LEGO buildings! Here's to these future scientists and engineers!
