A major milestone reached as we have submitted our tender response to the Great British Nuclear #SMR competition. “We have entered this competition with a proven track record of processing SMR reactor technology internationally, a fuel that is already licensed and in operation, and a reactor designed for manufacture,” said Andy Champ, GEH UK Country Leader. “Our BWRX-300 has evolved from proven, simple, boiling water reactor technology and is not just smaller, but through innovation even further simplified. We believe this uniquely positions us to reliably deliver an SMR with the most value for money and along with our strategic investment partners, be a valuable partner to the UK Government as it strives to reach its net zero target by 2050.” The BWRX-300 is a 10th generation SMR design that builds on decades of real-world operating experience and innovation, using a standard design, a proven delivery model and GEH’s experience with cross-border regulatory collaboration. GEH and Ontario Power Generation are developing the first BWRX-300 at OPG’s Darlington site near Toronto. Early site preparation work has been completed, construction is expected to start in early 2025 and commercial operation to commence by 2029. ORLEN Synthos Green Energy, Aecon Group Inc., AtkinsRéalis and GEH have signed a teaming agreement to accelerate the deployment of the BWRX-300 small modular reactor in Poland. The signing in Warsaw today was witnessed by the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development of Canada and H.E. Catherine Godin, Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Poland. “As our SMR technology is deployed globally, there will be many lessons learned that will be transferrable from project to project and country to country,” said Sean Sexstone, Executive Vice President, Advanced Nuclear, GEH. “Our work with AtkinsRéalis and Aecon to build the first BWRX-300 at Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington site sets the stage for the successful deployment of this technology in Poland.” OSGE plans to build a fleet of BWRX-300 SMRs in Poland with the first unit ready in the early 2030s. GEH Poland Country Leader Dagmara Peret represented us during the signing ceremony.

We at GE Vernova hope you find a few moments to reflect on the rich history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada on June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day, and every day. During this important month, our teams expanded their understanding of Indigenous history and deepened their cultural awareness: • Teams from GE Vernova's Electrification businesses and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy experienced the captivating "People of the Watershed" photography exhibit and viewed other Indigenous artwork at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. • We distributed pencil crayons and colouring books with Indigenous art at our Markham, Ontario and Brossard, Quebec sites to raise awareness among employees’ families. • Our Hydro Power team in Brossard hosted a fireside chat with David Acco; Chris Boisvert; Martin Courtemanche; GE Vernova's Chief Inclusion, Equity and Diversity Officer Reginald J. Miller; and Jennifer Tidmarsh to discuss the role of Indigenous Peoples in the future of energy security and abundance in Canada. • Employees experienced a virtual tour of the Potlatch Gallery at the U'mista Cultural Centre to learn about the artistic expressions of Coastal Salish peoples. Reconciliation begins with each one of us. I want to thank our teams for their continued commitment to creating a culture of inclusion and respect here at GE Vernova. Ferris Z. VP, Chief Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity Officer at GE Vernova

As we commemorate Juneteenth, we celebrate a pivotal moment in American history—the day when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom on June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This day symbolizes not just the end of slavery, but also the enduring strength and resilience of Black communities. As Chief Diversity Officer, I am honored to join in recognizing this significant day. Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of freedom and equality, and the ongoing journey toward achieving these ideals for all. It’s a moment for us to reflect on the progress we've made and the work still ahead to dismantle systemic racism and foster an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. I am from the American South so it is especially important to me that we show that racism, whether subtle or overt, has no place in today's society. At GE Vernova, our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is more than just policy—it’s a core value that drives our mission and vision. We are dedicated to creating a workplace where every voice is heard, every background is respected, and every individual is given the opportunity to succeed. Our DEI initiatives are designed to support and empower our Black colleagues and communities, and to educate and engage all employees in meaningful dialogue and action. Juneteenth is also a time for celebration and education. I encourage all our team members to take this opportunity to learn more about the history and significance of this day. Engage in conversations, attend events, and support Black-owned businesses and organizations. Let’s honor the past while actively shaping a more just and equitable future. Also, A huge thank you to African Affinity Forum for the work that do to uplift our black and brown employees both here in the US and around the world (check out their icon!). Together, we can build a world where freedom, equality, and dignity are not just ideals, but realities for everyone. Happy Juneteenth! #Juneteenth #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #Freedom #Resilience #TogetherWeRise #inclusion4impact #bettertogether

We are pleased to be shortlisted by Vattenfall, as part of Vattenfall’s ongoing evaluation of reactor technology. Our boiling water reactor technology has been operating for decades in the Nordics and the BWRX-300 small modular reactor, a 10th generation design, is an ideal solution as Sweden looks to new #nuclear to satisfy a growing demand for electricity while decarbonizing industry and meeting net-zero goals. https://lnkd.in/emTASWpb
