With heavy hearts, Federal Protective Service remembers the line-of-duty death of #FPSDHS Inspector Lowery Ware Sr. (July 23, 2020). Inspector Ware was a proud native of Newark, New Jersey (#FPSDHSEast Region 2), where he served 18 years with #FPSDHS. Previously, he spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, where he started as a security police officer, moved to security police investigations and then to the Air Force Customs Service. Renowned for his initiative and mastery of duties, Inspector Ware’s legacy lives on through the Lowery Ware Polymath Award, an annual peer-to-peer award bestowed on a Region 2 employee. Nominees must display a level of expertise, professionalism, and competency spanning across multiple FPS subject matters to be considered for the award. Additionally, #FPSDHSEast Region 2 HQ’s Regional Training Room is dedicated to his memory and his name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., in 2020. Inspector Ware is survived by his wife, daughter, son, two grandchildren and seven siblings. We offer our strength and support to Inspector Lowery’s family, friends, and colleagues. Gone, but never forgotten.

He was just one month shy of his 25th birthday at the time of his passing. We offer our strength and support to Officer Robert W. Yesucevitz’s family, friends, and colleagues.
