Proud to celebrate the innovative work happening in our Ford NGL communities! In Macomb County, the Fueling the Talent Pipeline Program (FTTP) is connecting high school students with real-world career experiences in industries like healthcare and manufacturing. Through tours, job shadows, and internships, students are discovering their interests and preparing for the future while helping to address critical workforce shortages. For Ford NGL districts like Romeo and Centerline, these partnerships are fueling both student success and local talent pipelines. At Batesville Community School Corporation, we're committed to making education relevant and impactful for every student. Through real-world experiences and career-focused learning opportunities, we help students see the practical applications of their studies, both inside and outside the classroom. This approach fosters a deeper connection to their learning journey and prepares them for life beyond school. We also believe a Batesville High School diploma should carry significant value. By incorporating certifications, work-based learning, and clear career pathways, we ensure our graduates leave us with more than a diploma—they leave with the tools, credentials, and confidence to succeed in their chosen futures, whether that means college, career, or military service. In addition, students can maximize academic rigor by simultaneously earning the Indiana College Core (ICC) and associate degrees from Ivy Tech, positioning them for success in higher education and beyond. We are #BulldogReady
That's a wrap on today's #ConexusCouncil! Thank you to our speakers at today's meeting: Darryl Floyd from Wood-Mizer LLC, Paul Ketcham from Batesville Community School Corporation, Andy Allen from Batesville High School, Dr. Katie Jenner from the State of Indiana and Bradley Rhorer and Erica Viar from Ascend Indiana for presenting and leading our conversations today about workforce development. We also want to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Wood-Mizer and Batesville High School students for their respective tours of the Wood-Mizer facility and the Batesville Innovation Center!

Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL) is at the 2024 Aurora Institute Symposium this week! Hundreds of practitioners and supporters of competency-based education are gathering to discuss how to help students gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences they will need to thrive in a rapidly-changing world. Doing so will require new systems and structures in education, as well as new assessments and “signals of value” that can be recognized by employers and post-secondary institutions. #Aurora24

Working with business, education and community leaders to ensure economic prosperity and quality of life for all
Inspiring week in Michigan, as Muskegon Public Schools and their community partners continue writing their master plan to create real-world learning experiences for all PreK-12 students. The engagement and enthusiasm of all participants was truly remarkable. Muskegon is currently in Phase 3 (Planning) of Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL)’s “roadmap” process to transform the school experience for all students. As a FNGL community coach, it was a special privilege to see my colleagues Lisa Oleski & Dr. Kimberly Fifer in action, supporting Muskegon in their roles as community coaches in this journey! #realworldlearning #education #careeracademies #transformation
