Additionally, we offer a special pre-session focused on providing in-depth insights and practical experiences. Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL) is at the 2024 Aurora Institute Symposium this week! Hundreds of practitioners and supporters of competency-based education are gathering to discuss how to help students gain the knowledge, skills, and experiences they will need to thrive in a rapidly-changing world. Doing so will require new systems and structures in education, as well as new assessments and “signals of value” that can be recognized by employers and post-secondary institutions. #Aurora24

Inspiring week in Michigan, as Muskegon Public Schools and their community partners continue writing their master plan to create real-world learning experiences for all PreK-12 students. The engagement and enthusiasm of all participants was truly remarkable. Muskegon is currently in Phase 3 (Planning) of Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL)’s “roadmap” process to transform the school experience for all students. As a FNGL community coach, it was a special privilege to see my colleagues Lisa Oleski & Dr. Kimberly Fifer in action, supporting Muskegon in their roles as community coaches in this journey! #realworldlearning #education #careeracademies #transformation
