Funding is a necessary resource to build up and carry out farm to early care and education (ECE) activities. There are a variety of funding sources that states, localities, and organizations have leveraged to support the purchase of culturally relevant local foods; gardening and food tastings; and food, nutrition, and agricultural education for ECE sites. Join us on Tuesday, July 30 at 1pm ET for a webinar providing an overview of the newly updated Enhancing Young Children's Access to Local Foods and Farm to ECE: Federal Funding Guide where we’ll provide functional descriptions of actionable and timely federal funding streams. The purpose of this webinar and funding guide is to prepare and position farm to ECE partners to effectively apply for funding to support their programs. https://lnkd.in/euBs-puZ

Food Research & Action Center reposted this
Over 1,000 organizations have signed on in support of a Farm Bill that protects and strengthens SNAP benefits for the 40+ million Americans who use this program to help put food on the table every month. But I'm not here to flaunt that number - I want to know...has YOUR organization signed on? If not, time is running out to sign on and send a message to Congress that we *know* we have the power to help households with low income. Deadline is Monday, July 8! “[Summer programs are] either not available at no charge, or families are costed out of them, or the summer programs don’t exist at all. And transportation can be a barrier to accessing the meals — it’s a lot easier to provide access to meals where kids are in school already and going into the school cafeteria for lunch,” said FRAC's Crystal FitzSimons. https://lnkd.in/erj3e8CP
