Cannabis companies listen up! It is the best time to hire this time of year. As a company you have a the best vision right now for exactly what your business is doing well and what you need to improve. As a company you have the best vision right now for the skills and abilities needed that could be transformative for your departments or your organization. There is still time to act on getting that skillset in place to start the new year. If you wait until next year to start you are likely not to get someone in the door until March / April. That is 6 more months with the same need. For some critical roles that is the difference between success and failure for your company. In cannabis 95% of all stakeholders are working the week of December 30th. It is a great week to onboard a critical hire. There is still time. If a candidate is turned off by an interview process that occurs during the months of November and December, they are going to be turned off by working in an industry where customers shop nights and weekends and plants never sleep. Let me know how FlowerHire can be helpful.

We often urge the cannabis companies we partner with to hire veterans, and Jon Bond, Chief Revenue Officer at Illicit Gardens, perfectly explains why in this clip. Veterans bring unmatched discipline, leadership, and adaptability—qualities that are invaluable to cannabis companies and the mission of our industry. From their ability to thrive under pressure to their dedication to team success, veterans make great employees and leaders in cannabis. On this Veterans Day, we want to express our gratitude to all who have served and protected our country. Thank you for your service. 💙💚 If you're inspired to support, we encourage you to check out the HeroGrown Foundation. ➡️ Why veterans are an asset to both cannabis companies and the mission of the industry Last year, Mike Siebold was joined by a panel of veterans from HeroGrown Foundation: Nick Martin, Jason Arcand, Brett Puffenbarger, and Jon Bond. HeroGrown Foundation is the cannabis and hemp industry’s first and only 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing direct assistance to American Heroes. Each year they give away $2,000,000 worth of life-saving products to veterans, first responders, and frontline medical workers.   The panel discusses topics ranging from how veterans can find their niche in the cannabis industry (HINT: This advice can work for anyone!), to why veterans are loyal to the company first and how to incentivize them. Watch the webinar to learn why veterans are an asset to cannabis companies and the mission of the industry. https://lnkd.in/ej3PMPYp #veterans #veteransforcannabis #veteransday

Stories like this inspire us to keep pushing for access and awareness so that everyone can get the care they deserve. 💚 Access to medical cannabis is about more than just policy—it’s about education and advocacy. Behind every patient story is a community that needs to be informed and empowered. Sharing these experiences helps to break down stigma and spread awareness about the real, life-changing potential of cannabis. #ThatsMyWhy #FreeThePlant #CannabisForCare

Cannabis legalization measures fell short in Florida, North Dakota, and South Dakota, but Nebraska offered a notable win for medicinal cannabis. Nebraskans voted decisively to approve medical cannabis measures, signaling strong support for patient access. However, the future remains uncertain as the measures face ongoing legal challenges in court over the validity of petition signatures. Until these legal disputes are resolved, implementation is on hold. The question "So, tell me about yourself?" is one of the most common yet daunting parts of any interview. This is your chance to tell your story and connect your experiences to the role you’re pursuing in the cannabis industry. 🌿✨ Patrick Hartman tells us how to make your answer stand out: ⏱ Use the Present ➡️ Past ➡️ Future format: Start by describing your current role and what you do. Then highlight key experiences that have shaped your career, focusing on those relevant to the cannabis industry. Wrap up by discussing your future goals and why this opportunity excites you. 💚 Show your passion for the cannabis industry: Share how your journey brought you here—whether it’s through education, personal experiences, or a genuine interest in cannabis. This connection helps interviewers see you as more than just a resume. ⏳ Stick to the highlights: Keep it concise—aim for 2-3 minutes. Focus on impactful moments that demonstrate your value and align with the job description. For example, rather than listing every past role, focus on 2-3 that showcase the most relevant skills. ✂️ Tailor your answer to your audience: Think about who’s interviewing you. A recruiter might focus on your cultural fit, while a hiring manager may be more interested in technical skills. Adjust your focus accordingly. BONUS TIP: Practice, but stay natural: Rehearse your response to build confidence but avoid memorization. Aim for a conversational tone to engage your interviewer. Example Format for Your Answer: "Currently, I’m a [Your Current Role] at [Company Name], where I [Brief Description of Responsibilities]. Before this, I worked at [Previous Company] as a [Role], where I [Key Achievement or Experience Relevant to the New Role]. What excites me about this opportunity at [New Company] is [Reason for Excitement, Relating to Future Goals].” Ready to impress? Save this post for future reference and ensure you’re prepared to make an unforgettable first impression! 💼✨ #CannabisIndustry #InterviewSuccess #JobSeekers #FromTheRecruitersDesk #ThatsMyWhy
