September 16, 2024: The Fire Museum of Maryland in Lutherville has an immediate opening for a Receptionist/Store Manager. This individual is responsible for running the entrance operation of the Fire Museum of Maryland in Lutherville on Saturdays year round. They greet and interact with visitors and help them to enjoy their experience in the Museum. The position includes taking admissions, getting guests started on their visit, selling memberships, and handling museum shop sales. Responsible for daily sales reports (Square point-of-sale system). Receptionist/Store Manager is responsible for creating an annual budget, ordering merchandise, and financial record-keeping for the shop. The Receptionist/Store Manager also keeps the store stocked and neat and creates seasonal merchandise displays. The position is two days per week: Saturdays from 9:30 – 4:30, and a second weekday, to be determined. The pay rate is $18 per hour. The successful applicant will report to the Museum’s Assistant Director. Retail management experience helpful, but not mandatory.
