  • Sending love to all this #suicidepreventionmonth. We take this time to break the stigma, spread awareness, and channel hope for all who need support. This month, we make it a goal to communicate resources and start important conversations. Here are some helpful tips to support someone struggling: Listen non-judgmentally – Sometimes, the best thing you can do is simply be there. Encourage professional help – Suggest resources like therapists, counselors, or hotlines. Check-in regularly – Keep the conversation open and let them know they’re not alone. Be aware of warning signs – Isolation, sudden mood changes, or talking about hopelessness can be key indicators. Remove potential means – If someone is at immediate risk, removing access to harmful items can be life-saving. At RiseWell Community Services, we are committed to being part of this important mission. Our dedicated team is here to provide support, counseling, and resources for anyone struggling. You don’t have to face this alone. Reach out to us anytime – together, we can make a difference. Please call us at 631-669-5355 or visit our website to schedule a consultation at risewell.org. #SuicidePrevention #YouMatter #MentalHealth #RiseWellCommunity #BreakTheSilence #HopeIsHere

  • In recognition and acknowledgment of Opioid Awareness Day, RiseWell takes this time to recognize the impact of the opioid crisis and raise awareness to help save lives. Did you know? Many overdoses occur due to fentanyl, a synthetic opioid 50-100 times stronger than morphine. RiseWell’s clinical teams, like our MOST (Mobile Opioid Support Team), as well as our OOPP (Opioid Overdose Prevention Program), provide vital and prominent information as we continuously support our communities by informing them on resources to seek help. Additionally, we provide free Naloxone (Narcan) kits and trainings if reversing an opioid overdose is needed in a situation. Here are a few ways you can treat someone who may need help… Know the signs of an overdose: slow or no breathing, unconsciousness, and small pupils are the three main parameters. Additionally, carry Naloxone if you or someone you love is at risk and advocate for harm reduction, education, and support for those struggling with addiction. Together, we can reduce stigma, support recovery, and save lives. Schedule an overdose prevention training with our team today. #OverdoseAwareness #EndOverdose #NaloxoneSavesLives #HarmReduction #OpioidCrisis #SupportRecovery
