E5 was privileged to attend FCA’s 39th Annual Scholarship Breakfast this morning. In the past 15 years Family & Children's Association has awarded more than $2 million in college scholarships, thanks to the generosity of its donor community. This year 46 scholars who attended FCA’s programs such as Ladders to Success college prep and Project Independence (for children in the foster care system) were awarded scholarships that totaled $88,000. This year’s keynote speaker was the astounding and inspirational NCAA Champion wrestler Anthony Robles. Anthony shared his challenges, successes, setbacks and unstoppable determination to earn a national wrestling championship, despite being born with only one leg.
