The CEOs of the Big Three PBMs are facing fines or imprisonment of up to five years, according to a press release shared last week from the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. https://lnkd.in/e9uXpZJ2 James Comer, chairman of the committee, called out the CEOs of CVS Caremark, Express Scripts, and OptumRx for claiming that they don’t steer patients to their PBM-owned pharmacies. This directly contradicts the committee’s and FTC’s findings. The adjustment was made, and the patient's symptoms were resolved after the first infusion cycle. This allowed her return to work and resume her normal daily activities. The pharmacy benefits plan saw $482,000 in annual savings due to this single clinical intervention.
