What do clients think of their immigration attorneys? What makes one a desirable immigration attorney? I think about being supportive, efficient, fast, uber responsive, omnipresent, considerate, creative, responsible, and many other things all the time. This week we have had an amazing win. In early summer, I was contacted by a physician who was at the end of the 6 years of H-1B time with no green card process started. The current attorneys advised the new client to move back to the native country and wait out many months for the ability to return to the US. I have contacted many members of the local community and asked them for support letters explaining how we need to keep this physician in our Pittsburgh community. After spending close to 70 hours on Eb-1a, we received a terrible request for additional evidence questing the eligibility for extraordinary ability in sciences. We do not give up. Thanks to hard work of Devon Lawton, Alma Martin and Claire March Mokry, we taught back with as many hours of work. This week, we received the approval which now means the client will receive the green card soon. No thank you from the client. None. I know it is not personal. We did above and beyond and I am incredibly grateful to my small, but mighty team that embraces my values of dedication, perfection, and perseverance. We know what this approval means and how rare it is for an attending physician to be approved as a person with extraordinary ability in sciences for a green card.
