As we observe National Lineworker Appreciation Day, we honor the dedicated lineworkers who are working around the clock in extreme heat to clear downed trees and broken branches as they restore power to customers after #HurricaneBeryl. Lineworkers respond to disasters with a commitment to restore power and rebuild infrastructure when needed, and EEI salutes their service to their communities. #ThankALineworker

Today is National Lineworker Appreciation Day. We celebrate all of our nation's lineworkers and honor the life of Henry Miller, a lineworker and the first president of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 1896. Our lineworkers often work around the clock and in dangerous conditions following storms and other extreme weather events to ensure that the customers and the communities they serve have access to safe and reliable electricity.
