It is so great to see Miami International Airport helping Easterseals South Florida students with disabilities and their caregivers practice the air travel experience. Traveling with a disability can be stressful, especially when you don’t know what to expect, but programs like this give people with disabilities the chance to see the airport alongside kind an understanding staff who help them gain comfortability. There is still work to be done before the air travel experience is fully stress-free and accessible for people with disabilities, but we are glad to see programs like this that help make sure these students can travel comfortably. https://lnkd.in/gBkRyXbk

Today is the 34th anniversary of the ADA! The Americans with Disabilities Act paved the way for creating a more accessible and inclusive world. Easterseals was there in 1990 advocating for the passage of this law, and we are here today providing disability services in communities nationwide and advocating for policies that allow disabled people to thrive.
