Celebrating National Night Out! On Tuesday, October 1st, neighborhoods throughout Chino Valley joined forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 41st Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out aims to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness Generate support for and participation in local anticrime efforts Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships Send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back Building relationships between our local businesses and law enforcement is a fantastic way to show the community a strong, united front. At Drake, we were honored to participate in this community event and enjoyed meeting and talking with local families about our facilities. This year, Matt Anderson, Dane Neocker, and Karen Otis ran our booth with a “Plinko” game, swag, and candy! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this important cause. The Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce announced the 12th Annual Bob Kaecker Memorial Golf Tournament presented by the National Bank of Arizona and Drake Cement on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 8:00 am. Team Drake’s foursome was there to have fun in the sun, and there was great food and prizes. Thanks to Justin Ludwig, Brandon Gray, Justin Gray, and Diego Mendez for representing. The tournament, which occurred at Antelope Hills Golf Course, will help build the Chamber’s Chino Valley High School Scholarship Fund. As a result of Drake’s partnership and sponsorship, the Chamber was able to fund SIX $500 scholarships for six worthy graduates of Chino Valley High School. At Drake, we proudly support children’s literacy and wholesome family fun through the FREE Summer Reading Program, available to all children from infancy through high school. Sponsorship allows these events to be free throughout the summer break. Families come for free live events and take-home kits with fun educational activities and crafts each week. Kids are encouraged to read every day for seven weeks during school breaks. They earn prizes for reading and have a big celebration at the end.
