We're thrilled to announce that Nectar Aesthetics, a premier med spa known for luxurious and personalized aesthetic care, has selected downtown Orlando for their second location and is now open! Nectar Aesthetics is a welcomed addition to our vibrant community, further diversifying the offerings in DTO. When asked what drew them to wanting to open their second location in downtown Orlando, owners Karli and Jesse stated that they fell in love with DTO’s dynamic atmosphere and business-friendly approach. This expansion was made possible with support from our DTO Retail Program which was crucial in transforming the new space.  Through the program, they were able to receive more than $90k for tenant improvements and rent abatement. We are happy to welcome their unique practice into our vibrant community.

We're thrilled to announce that SAK Comedy Lab has returned to Church Street - now at 55 West in DTO! This move marks a significant milestone in SAK's 33-year history, made possible by the Destination Activity Catalyst from the CRA. By supporting destination activities through build-out costs, rent subsidies, and permit fee payments, the CRA aims to energize the downtown core, reduce vacancy, and create vibrant, activity-rich areas. Their new home not only supports the CRA’s vision but also brings diverse, top-notch arts opportunities to the the city, continuing to make downtown Orlando a dynamic destination for residents and visitors alike. This new venue features a $1.3 million build-out by McCree General Contractors and Adirondack Studios. In an ongoing effort to support businesses in downtown Orlando, we partnered with Downtown Orlando Partnership to present Chow on Church, a gastronomy event blending food and community. This event offers participants the opportunity to network, meet Orlando Pride players, and taste delicious food from DTO restaurants! Three participating restaurants—Papi Smash, The Bao Spot, and Pattie Lou's—have received funds through the DTO Restaurant Program. We spent last week in Las Vegas at Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC) talking to developers, investors, and retailers about DTO's many opportunities and incentives.   Bringing together industry trailblazers and innovators, the annual ICSC Las Vegas event was a hub of deal-making and transformative insights within the marketplace sector.   For downtown Orlando, attending an event like ICSC is vital to showcase our commitment to fostering commerce and community development. It allows us to connect with a global network of professionals, bridge the gap between global commerce and local communities, and contribute to the growth of our cultural downtown Orlando hub!
