This April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Month, NAI Charleston is taking part in the nationwide effort of planting pinwheels to prevent child abuse. The pinwheels stand as a whimsical reminder of the joy that children should feel growing up, as opposed to what 1 in 6 children experience when they are physically abused by the age of 18. Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center is a partner to the community to prevent abuse, protect children, and heal families.
