I’m very excited to share this recent article on the Reset Room, a new space designed in collaboration with Curriculum Associates' neurodivergent employee resource group and Employee and Workplace Experience teams. This serene space offers a calm respite from the busy office environment and is available to all employees via online scheduling. The space was developed through listening to the input of our neurodivergent employees and designing the Reset Room with their specific needs in mind, including softer colors, dimmable lights, comfortable seating and a white noise machine. Read more about the room and hear from Susan Slater, Nadine L. Sousa, CPMM and Nicole Souza about their experience both developing and using the space. #InsideCA #FacesOfCA

Our latest research offers insights into learning growth and recovery patterns across student age and prior achievement, shedding light on the pandemic’s lasting impacts on our youngest and most vulnerable learners. While older cohorts are showing signs of recovery in reading following the pandemic, younger students who were not yet in formal schooling when the pandemic started are further from historical growth trends. Our new research is the first of its kind to look at impacts on younger learners who were not yet in formal schooling at the start of the pandemic. To provide the most nuanced view of recovery patterns, we leveraged a large sample, following the same students across three years, disaggregating results by key student and school characteristics to develop a clearer picture of growth compared to historical trends. Implementing effective recovery strategies requires a careful assessment of what’s working and for whom. Our goal is to provide actionable, timely insights for those working to change the course of learning for students who need support now. We are proud to continue offering rich data to help shape these important conversations. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3zAiod9 #EdTech #EdChat #EducationResearch #StudentGrowth
