Nurturing Wellbeing with Every Meal We Serve
About us
Since 1996, Cura has been curating dining service programs specific to each client’s needs, taking the worry of guest safety and satisfaction, employee development, operational and fiscal challenges off of our clients’ plates. As our client’s needs evolve, so do we. We are a company of experienced dining services professionals that came together under one name in 2019, previously doing business as Cura, A’viands and Valley Services, providing services in Life Plan Communities, and Acute Care. Cura is now part of Elior North America where, together, we are small enough to care and big enough to make a difference.

Honoring our veterans! During Cura's Conversations, we were so proud to feature Lauren Foley of Woman's Hospital, who served 14 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. Lauren talks about how her skills and love for culinary flourished during her time in the service. After cooking for her Duty Section Lauren uncovered her love for the Culinary Arts. Lauren became a Culinary Specialist and attended Culinary School at the Coast Guard’s Training Center in Petaluma, California. We are proud to announce Cura Hospitality's Chef of the Year nominees! Today we celebrate Chef Paul Roberts of Woman's Hospital’s in Baton Rouge, LA. Chef is originally from Trinidad, proud to infuse his Caribbean flare into the Cajun Louisiana culinary culture! But the biggest impact Chef has made is for new moms! Thanks to Chef Paul, the 6-ounce “Patient Burger” is made-to-order for all new moms when they’re out of labor and delivery! Some say it’s the best burger they have ever eaten! During hospital week, Chef and his team prepared 2,000 free burgers for hospital employees! We are proud to announce Cura Hospitality's Chef of the Year nominees! Today we celebrate Cura Chef James (Jim) Morgan from Providence Point, a Baptist Senior Family community. While the Providence Point executive chef was on an extended leave, Chef Jim successfully managed production, purchasing, and staffing, all while staying on budget! Chef Jim leads by example, mentoring college students on prepping menu items, serving residents, and assists our “special needs” utensil sanitation manager. Chef Jim trains staff on BeWell, healthier foods that impact resident health and wellness. In fact, Chef Jim is helping to transition 20% of the menu to BeWell! Foods are cooked with healthier ingredients, including fresh herbs harvested from an herb garden that Chef Jim introduced to Providence Point! Residents and staff love the refreshing culinary enhancements – completely satisfying the senior living experience! Congratulations Chef Jim! #seniorliving #completelysatisfied #healthierfoods #freshfoods #herbs #culinary #chef #healthandwellness #leader #mentor #teamplayer #CuraProud!

We look forward to seeing you at LeadingAge National...! Cura’s Handcrafted Delights is an enriched snack program (replacing supplements) that increases calorie intake and nutrition! Pickering Manor RN Barbara Kasper says “I actually look forward to giving residents the new drink now—and they really enjoy the snacks. They smell, look and taste good for the residents. All are well received—not much refusal here.” Handcrafted Delights recently hosted an expo (pictured FSD Christopher Walker and Dietitian Susan Kinzler, RD, LDN) for memory care team members who sampled Handcrafted Delights including peanut butter chocolate mousse cups, cranberry ricotta oat bars, vanilla cupcakes with yogurt icing and delicious smoothies!
