Creating space for the leading artists and storytellers of the next generation who are helpin to shape a better internet

About us

Three years ago, we came together in the backwoods of Montana. Drawn together by the idea of telling more meaningful stories online, it was in those late nights by the fire that we discovered community for the first time. We had no clue what we were trying to accomplish that month. Yet, in the beautiful chaos, there came a spark - a flicker of hope for an internet reborn. Creator Camp is a community of leading artists, storytellers, and entrepreneurs who are helping to shape a better internet—one where individuals thrive through authentic expression, meaningful connection, and creative collaboration. If this is as exciting for you as it is for us, don't hesitate to say whatsup! We're always looking for great people to join our mission. [email protected]

What happens when you bring together 30 visionary creators, artists, and entrepreneurs around a shared mission? We're betting it's pure innovation. In collaboration with Patreon & Notion, we hosted our latest Base Camp event in Catskills, NY with a new guiding theme: Sustainable Creativity 🧑🎨 We've all faced moments of creative exhaustion or burnout. Sustaining your creativity means going forward in the face of challenges and having frameworks in place for you to feel healthily productive. How did this theme influence the retreat? Our week-long Base Camps are grounded on a combination of three things: connection, creation, and exploration. We balance this by hosting interactive community-led workshops, unexpected creative activities, and excursions into the natural world. Most of our workshops had some connection to this overarching theme, allowing everyone to share their own interpretations of creating with longevity — from creators breaking down their editing flow to entrepreneurs narrating their journey with monetization. Check out a visual recap of our week that we'll be updating with our attendees' creations here: https://lnkd.in/gyvuGJ9N Messages of Gratitude: We want to give a big thank you to Notion for giving us the building blocks to organize our events and creative workflows. We were so grateful to have Danielle Ito join us in-person for part of the week as a friend and resource! Also, we want to extend a massive shoutout to Patreon, our newest partner for the rest of 2024. Thank you for sponsoring this event and consistently inspiring us to create freely. More exciting projects with Patreon to be announced soon :) Last, but not least, a warm thank-you to RØDE and Bose Corporation for providing the tools we needed to amplify our voices! We have so much left in store for 2024 and are excited to take you on the journey. 🏔

Co-Founder & CEO at Creator Camp | Advisor | Bringing together the most creative minds of our generation

At Creator Camp our goal has been to unite the next generation of storytellers & creatives who are shaping a better internet through their stories, music, and art. This year, in collaboration with Notion & Patreon we plan to do just that. In order to have the greatest impact we're linking all events under a single-season theme—Originality. If you know us, then you know we often look to nature: the mountains, forests, and valleys as a source of raw inspiration. With so much of our community already established on the East Coast, it feels like it is time to bring the Creator Camp experience to the backcountry of New York. In 7 days, we're kicking off our first event of the season, Base Camp Catskills 🏕 This specific event revolves around the theme of building creative resilience. We have 35 of the most talented creators on the internet coming together for a week of collaboration, connection, and growth. We're beyond excited & cant wait to share what comes out of this exerience! If you need us, we'll be in the mountains :) S/O Jack Conte, Lauren Bozarth, SaraRose Fathi, Danielle Ito

A special kind of magic forms when you bring like-hearted creatives together. As the internet becomes a noisier and much more isolating place, Creator Camp is on a mission to uplift individuals pushing original stories forward through community. In the heart of the Catskills, New York — a new chapter begins. We’ll be hosting our next Base Camp: a week-long space where the untamed wilderness meets the unbridled creativity of film, art, design, and entrepreneurship. Applications for Base Camp: Catskills (May 2024) are now open. https://lnkd.in/gnssS_9t

There is one more thing... As if our upcoming season weren't enough, we're also creating a new community alongside Creator Camp. It's for the most innovative creator marketing managers--the ones that creators genuinely enjoy working with at brands. We're calling it XPDTN and are piloting it now with a great group of people from an epic group of brands like Squarespace, Notion, Riverside.fm, Epidemic Sound, Chicago Bulls. For the next two weeks, we're accepting three more people to the pilot. If you'd like to nominate someone, contact Jesse Engle ([email protected]) for more info or mention them down in the comments :) #apple #socialmedia #creatoreconomy

We are beyond excited to officially announce the next chapter of Creator Camp We're expanding how we do things this year—three specific things — by adding a season theme, making a documentary, and hosting the first-ever international Creator Camp summit. To kick things off, we’re also super excited to announce our first-ever season-long sponsors: RØDE and Notion (s/o Danielle Ito & Kalinda Atkinson) Here's the thing: we’ve traditionally held stand-alone events. However, we've come to realize that we can have a much larger impact if there is a cohesive narrative that spans across a series of events. From now on, each year will have an overarching theme that all our Creator Camp events work towards capturing 🏕 For 2024, our theme is Originality, broken down into three sub-categories: sustainable creativity, creative freedom, and innovative collaboration. Creativity isn’t tied down by maps 🗺 — amazing minds are everywhere, and we’re on a mission to bring this global family of creatives together. It’s about making our community richer, more diverse, and infinitely more inspiring. That is why our season's climax will be met with our first-ever international event 🌎 To wrap things up we'll be capturing all our efforts this year through a documentary 🎬 aimed at answering the question: “How can we create space for more original work to thrive outside of any algorithm or boundary?" and screening it with our entire community at the end of the year. 2024 is going to be an incredible year. We have one title sponsorship available for each event throughout our season. If you'd like to get involved feel free to email our amazing head of partnerships Danny Desatnik ([email protected]) #community #creatoreconomy #socialmedia

We’re excited to announce that Jesse Engle has joined the Creator Camp team as Head of Business Development! Jesse’s first job is to help us to define and build the business architecture of our community. In this role, he’ll be working with our co-founders along with the creators and brands we serve to craft our business development strategy. Jesse brings a ton of experience in startups, community-building, and social impact. He started his career when the web was just born, helping Fortune 500 companies establish their first websites. When social media began to take off, he was co-founder and CEO of CoTweet , the first tool brands used to manage Twitter, leading the team to a multi-million acquisition by ExactTarget (Salesforce). He has played an active role on the board of Haiti Partners—a non-profit focused on education in Haiti—for over a decade. Most recently he founded Good Work House, an impact-driven creator community in Venice, CA. Jesse lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Leigh Ann. They have three grown sons. Welcome to the team! #creatorcamp #socialmedia #creatoreconomy

teaching brands and creators how to amplify their heart | Advisor | Co-founder @ Creator Camp 🏕️ | Partner @ SunnyDay ☀️ | ATX

The moment we secured Notion as the title sponsor for our next event... In a few days we are heading out to Bend, Oregon for our first ever Base Camp event with Creator Camp. For the past year we've been bringing together creatives from all around the world, however, this fall we had aspirations to do something a little different. Instead of a three day camp experience. Why not bring together creatives for a week in nature to take part in a co-working, co-living environment. It's in moments like these that I often think about my own creative journey. Two years ago, I had just turned 18 and decided to take a gap year to pursue creating full-time. Looking back, those months were some of the hardest I've had: watching my closest friends leave to college to find community, while I was still stuck in my childhood bedroom making videos. At the end of the day, I hope that these events, no matter how big or small can help build a backbone and community for all creatives out there who may not be on the same path as their peers!! Huge thank you to Danielle Ito and Lexie Barnhorn for believing in the vision and supporting :) #creatoreconomy #creators #startup #communitybuilding
