Looking forward to sharing our expertise in donor recruitment, management and cell collections.
With treating solid tumours no longer being a fantasy, the #celltherapy community must now focus on reaching a broader patient population. For many, the answer is allogeneic - cells derived from an 'optimal' donor who is not the patient, enabling advanced preparation and availability to the patient immediately at the time of need. However, what you put in directly ties into what you get out and who's to say your donor will be willing in 1/2/5 years, maybe even months, down the line? The end success of #allogeneic cell therapies does not only stop at choosing and retaining the ‘optimal’ #donor – an essential part of the conversation is to determine which cells to #source from the donors as the best starting material for different cell therapies. These are the conversations we'll be having in San Diego, this November, with the return of the Donor #Selection & Cell Source Summit for it's second year. A huge thank you to BioIVT, Charles River Laboratories, Comprehensive Cell Solutions (CCS), Gift of Life Biologics, Anthony Nolan, Blood Centers of America for everything they're doing to help push this space forward.

What are the greatest challenges faced by the #cellandgenetherapy industry, and what can we do to overcome them? Following a keynote address by Caring Cross and Vector BioMed, Inc. executive, Boro Dropulić, a diverse panel of clinicians, therapeutic developers, and researchers took to the stage in our Manhattan headquarters auditorium to expand on the concept of access, affordability, and advancing progress of these treatments. Session moderator and NewYorkBIO CEO, Jennifer Hawks Bland posed questions around federal regulation, #reimbursement, #clinicaltrial recruitment, treatment #efficacy, #patientaccess and affordability, stimulating an excellent discussion during yesterday's #CGT Summer Symposium. Together with our co-sponsors, GenScript ProBio, we would like to thank our panelists, Larry Luchsinger, Xiuyan Wang, Pratik Jaluria, Ajay V., Dr. Alex Sica, and Boro, as well as the many guests who gathered for our first lunch and learn event!
