North Las Vegas Library District 🤝 The Consulate of Mexico The North Las Vegas Library District and The Consulate of Mexico have teamed up to promote library's physical, digital, and programming resources. Together, they share the love of language and literacy during a monthly bilingual family story time.

We are excited to share the new state of the art 42,000-square-foot medical office building located at the heart of the NLV Gateway downtown redevelopment is near completion. The new medical office building, developed by Agora Realty & Management Inc., will provide much needed healthcare services for North Las Vegas residents. Once completed, it will be the City’s first new downtown office building of this size since 1973. For the City of North Las Vegas, the construction of NLV Gateway is a transformative catalyst for downtown and the long-term future of the city.

We want to shine the spotlight on Kandace Blackshire, a Crisis Response Intern for the City of North Las Vegas Fire Department. As an intern Kandace has demonstrated a remarkable ability handling real-world crisis scenarios and working directly with our expert team to develop and execute effective response strategies. Her time with us provided not only practical experience, but also significant professional development including enhanced problem solving abilities and a deeper understanding of crisis dynamics. “For anyone thinking about becoming an intern, I’d advise seeing every challenge as a valuable opportunity for growth and learning… It’s important to embrace the experience fully and not be afraid of asking questions...This internship has also allowed me to build skills such as conducting assessments and communicating with community members with different backgrounds.” For all internship inquiries please email [email protected].

We want to take a moment to spotlight our Homeless Outreach and Engagement Team for all the hard work they do. Our H.O.M.E. Team works tirelessly to aid our unhoused population in finding secure housing and stable employment. The team's dedication to serving North Las Vegas is unmatched. Have you visited Kiel Ranch Historic Park, nestled in the heart of North Las Vegas? Recognized for its historical significance, Kiel Ranch was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in October 1975. The park features one of the oldest standing adobe structures in Nevada, a cottage known as the Doll House, and an active artesian pond. Interpretive nodes throughout the park educate visitors on the site’s rich history.

We want to welcome Guthrie's to the neighborhood! Their famous, golden fried chicken has returned to North Las Vegas and is open for business.

The AMP at Craig Ranch Regional Park has been named one of Desert Companion's Best of the City 2024! "...it’s a solid, expansive, well-designed space that could absorb any number of tours that solely play amphitheaters — and usually skip Las Vegas."

The countdown is on until Hispanic Heritage Month! Kick off the month with our official City of North Las Vegas Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Craig Ranch Regional Park on Saturday, September 15. Event is free for everyone. Will we see you there?

Firefighters at City of North Las Vegas Fire Department Station 57 received a special service commendation for performing life-saving treatment on a newborn infant. We are happy to share that baby Grace is thriving.
