Nationally recognized as a top surfing destination with four commercial districts near the Intracoastal Waterway, visitors can conveniently move from sand to street and be sure to find what they’re looking for. The City operates under a Commission-Manager form of government consisting of a Mayor and four Commissioners responsible for appointing a City Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. Located on the southeast coast of Volusia County, the City is 38 miles north of Kennedy Space Center and 14 miles south of Daytona Beach.
