We are proud that Inclusion Fusion has chosen Henderson as a place to call home. They provide inclusive programs for teens and adults with disabilities to foster independence, socialization, and friendships. 2️⃣ Jack shadowed Mayor Michelle Romero at the City Council meeting and served as Mayor for a Day! He got a firsthand look at how the City government works. 3️⃣ Henderson Fire shares two important reminders as the summer starts to heat up: Safe Pools Rule! and Check Your Seats in the Heat. #CityCouncilRecap 1️⃣ June is National Safety Month, and keeping our community safe is a top priority! We're committed to fostering an accident-free workplace where the health and safety of all our employees is paramount. A big thank you to Emergency Management's Division of Health and Safety and the hardworking City Safety Committee for shaping our strong safety culture! 2️⃣ Vanessa was selected to be Mayor for a Day and got a behind-the-scenes look at how municipal government functions! The next generation of leaders will one day shape our premier City! 3️⃣ CCSD presented their quarterly update! Coronado High School seniors brought home a whopping $34 million in scholarships, and Foothills High School set a new school record for scholarships earned by their graduating class. The District is tackling chronic absenteeism with a new program "Everyday Matters." This means more Henderson students will be in class, ready to learn and succeed!

#CityCouncilRecap 1️⃣ Congratulations to Mayor's Honor Roll recipients Emily Heitzman, 12th Grade Student at College of Southern Nevada High School South; Wendy Hale, an Assistant Principal at McCaw STEAM Academy; and Lisa Hadley, a parent at McDoniel Elementary School for their outstanding contributions to education! 2️⃣ Future leaders in the making! Samantha shadowed Mayor Michelle Romero during the City Council meeting. We're excited to start our "Mayor for a Day" program, giving young minds a glimpse into local government. 3️⃣ City staff presented the 2024 Henderson Age-Friendly Action Plan updating goals and strategies to help enhance the quality of life for our senior residents. As Nevada's first designated Age-Friendly community, this plan shaped with feedback from our senior residents includes priorities such as housing, health services, and outdoor spaces.
