Big news: CREW just filed a complaint with the FBI and DOJ asking them to investigate whether Donald Trump violated the law by promising political favors, if re-elected, to the oil and gas industry in exchange for $1 billion in campaign donations.

Wondering what CREW's research team has been up to? They went through 13,000 of Donald Trump's Truth Social posts, and found that he keeps threatening his enemies with FBI raids, investigations, indictments and jail time. Here's our new analysis on Trump's fixation on revenge, with a call to action to Congress to prevent the worst-case scenario:

Read our new op-ed in Just Security on how Congress can act to help restore public trust in all three branches of government – but most importantly in our Supreme Court.
The #SupremeCourt’s new #ethics code fails to deliver meaningful reform, write Virgina Canter and Gabe Lezra of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). This outcome is tied to how the Court sees public corruption law, they argue – which #Congress could reform to restore public trust at a critical moment. #SCOTUS https://lnkd.in/eZr7Aw5f

CREW could not be prouder to be going to the Supreme Court this week to defend the Constitution and represent six Colorado voters challenging Donald Trump's eligibility for the ballot. This week will be one for the history books! Read all about two of the inspiring voters, Norma and Krista, who CREW will be representing on February 8th, in this new Washington Post story:
The 91-year-old Republican suing to kick Donald Trump off the ballot

Big news from Team CREW: Our 14th Amendment lawsuit enforcing Donald Trump's disqualification from office is heading to the Supreme Court on February 8th. Last month, the Colorado Supreme Court barred Trump from the ballot, based on his incitement of insurrection which it determined based on evidence from our five day bench trial earlier last fall. We look forward to proving our case at the Supreme Court and representing the six courageous Republican and unaffiliated Colorado voters who brought this lawsuit in September.
