Last week, CIC Japan Desk launched two exciting programs to support Japanese startups expanding to the U.S.! Japan Desk’s first Philadelphia-based program, Direct Flight Philadelphia powered by MEDISO, prepares five startups to engage with Philly’s vibrant cell and gene therapy ecosystem. This is also Japan Desk’s second year running the J-StarX Boston Robotics Program, sponsored by JETRO Startup, which will immerse eight startups in Boston’s robotics ecosystem in collaboration with MassRobotics. Both programs kicked off with intensive days of seminars and networking at CIC Tokyo. CIC and Æthos are thrilled to announce three award winners to the Massachusetts AI Health Innovation (MAHI) Grant, focused on leveraging the AI revolution to make a meaningful impact on improving public health in Massachusetts. After reviewing 19 applications, the awards committee chose to grant awards to three projects: TOBY; working to revolutionize disease screening through noninvasive urine spectroscopy and artificial intelligence. 3RT Labs; a groundbreaking solution in clinical research, leveraging advanced machine learning for enhanced accuracy and efficiency in patient dosage tracking. Wisely Health; helping to take a stand with medical bills when something’s not right. The grant is in the form of technical support for each initiative, which will be provided by CIC Technology, our software development team within CIC.
