The leaders in mobile device management, charging, and security.

About us

Founded in 2012, ChargeItSpot® products have revolutionized the world of mobile device management, charging, and security. Our intelligent, locker-based kiosk solutions are thoughtfully designed to empower businesses and ground teams alike. The company began when our founder, Douglas Baldasare, recognized the need for secure, self-service phone charging in public spaces. As part of The Wharton School’s venture incubator, he created the first prototype of the ChargeIt kiosk. 10 years later, ChargeIt kiosks had become prominent in nearly every retail center in North America, having helped consumers over 16 million times with free and secure charging for their dying phones, while driving shopper traffic and marketing leads for clients. Along the way, we identified a critical issue facing almost all of our clients: frustration around managing the handheld devices that employees use to be productive. They were experiencing surprisingly high device theft and loss, wasted time managing manual processes, and lost productivity when devices stopped working, went missing, or batteries died. Recognizing the enormous cost and ubiquity of this problem, ChargeItSpot applied the patented technology from its consumer-facing solution to a brand-new enterprise solution for the back of house. In 2021, ChargeItSpot launched ARC®, a centralized device management system designed to secure, charge, and monitor employee devices across various industries. ARC minimizes device theft and loss, actively contributing to increased productivity, reduced wasted payroll time for managers and employees, and a decrease in the number of faulty devices in circulation. Serving some of the largest and most recognized companies in the world, the ChargeItSpot team continues to innovate and empower people to focus on what matters most. The company is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Did you know that mismanaged employee devices have a serious environmental footprint? When devices are lost, damaged, or left uncharged, they aren’t just impacting productivity—they’re adding to e-waste and driving up carbon emissions. Globally, only 17% of e-waste is properly recycled. Mismanaged devices often end up discarded, contributing to a mounting waste crisis and depleting valuable resources. Additionally, frequent device replacements increase carbon emissions due to manufacturing and disposal. Each mobile device can emit over 90kg of CO2 during its lifetime—just one of many reasons to manage devices more sustainably. ARC provides a solution that minimizes these impacts by ensuring devices are stored securely, charged efficiently, and monitored to extend their useful life. The result? Lower replacement rates, reduced waste, and a significant cut in unnecessary emissions. Let’s create a more sustainable workplace—one device at a time. October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month and with cyber threats on the rise, it's essential for businesses to stay vigilant, especially around their employee devices. In fact, 68% of organizations reported experiencing endpoint attacks over the past year, often targeting employee devices. These devices serve as gateways to sensitive information and can be vulnerable to unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks if not properly managed. That's where ARC comes in. Our smart locker solution enforces strict role-based access controls, ensuring that only authorized personnel can access company-owned devices. By securely storing and managing these devices, ARC helps reduce vulnerabilities and provides an added layer of protection to safeguard critical assets. This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, let's prioritize device security to protect both our people and our data. Stay secure this October with ARC. #CyberSecurityAwarenessMonth #DeviceSecurity #EndpointProtection #ARC #EmployeeDevices #DataSecurity Source: https://lnkd.in/eJdgXCEj.

As consumers increasingly demand a seamless shopping experience across online, in-store, and mobile channels, retailers are under pressure to adapt. Global retail omnichannel commerce is projected to grow 16.6% annually, reaching $27.7 billion by 2030. Despite its growing importance, many retailers struggle with integrating online and offline channels, which impacts inventory visibility, management, and their ability to meet customer expectations. Effective device management is essential to overcoming these challenges, ensuring employees have the right tools to process orders, track inventory, and deliver excellent service—whether for BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store) or same-day delivery. Downtime, data discrepancies, and operational bottlenecks can significantly affect customer satisfaction and sales without proper device management. Discover how ARC can support your omnichannel operations and help your team meet demand efficiently and confidently. Visit us at experienceARC.com.
