About us

The Centre for direct scientific communication (CCSD) is a public service for the researchers’communities and their institutional environment (research organizations, universities). The CCSD is supervised by the CNRS, Inria and INRAE. Its main mission is to provide tools, in the respect of open access principles, for archiving and the dissemination of scientific publications and data. The CCSD has created, develops and manages the HAL open archive (hal.archvies-ouvertes.fr), on which relies the Plan national pour la science ouverte, for open access to scientific publications. The CCSD also develops two other platforms: * Episciences (www.episciences.org) for hosting epi-journals, and Scienceconf (www.sciencesconf.org), a conference management platform. The CCSD workforce consists mainly of developpers and scientific and technical information experts (support and training courses). About the infrastructure: * 30 hypervisors hosting over 100 virtual machines, and about 30 standalone servers, * Configuration management SaltStack, * Monitoring Nagios/Checkmk, * PHP language, IDE Phpstorm, * Framework Send, Symfony, Bootstrap, * Other tools: Solr, Elastic Search, Kibana
