Those who know...know! It's a common thing mentioned about people from Yorkshire, England - that they're straight talkers and tight with their money. It's often said, "A Yorkshireman is a Scotsman with all the generosity squeezed out of him!" George Javier McKerrow 😂 So, today I'll stick up for the Jocks, sorry Scots, as well as the fine people from Yorkshire, who are not tight, they're often just just smarter with money.......but Yorkshire folks ARE generally down to earth! Those who know...know, try it....American colleagues, take your next business trip to the UK with Yorkshire Airlines! Back in my College days I helped produce a promo reel for these talented guys; Gareth Hale and Norman Pace who had moved to entertainment from teaching in the late '70s. Before appearing on TV, they did a series of radio shows for Radio 4 based on their show at the Tramshed. Their early TV breaks came on The Entertainers (1984) and Pushing Up Daisies (1984), and they went on to appear in the Channel 4 sketch show Coming Next (1985) and Saturday Gang (1986).#UK #yorkshire #TVclassics #Comedy #TV #standup #humour CBRNE & CT ATLANTIC BRIDGE (CAB) #scotland #history #humor

Effective collaboration in business can expand a company's range of products and better meet customer needs without significant additional development costs. This collaborative approach opens up access to a broader network of opportunities, including partnerships with other companies within the same sector and potential entry into new markets, fostering growth for all parties involved. The key to successful collaboration lies in selecting the right partners and the appropriate strategy for success. Aligning organizational cultures is important, but it's just one piece of the puzzle. Are there proper incentives to encourage collaboration? Are effective processes in place to track activities across both organizations? Do you have the necessary skill sets to ensure the project's success? If any skills are lacking, can they be acquired? And most importantly, the collaboration should not only be productive but enjoyable as well! "Tough of the Track!" - Those in the Know - Know! You can still win a track race after a large portion of Foxtrot Charlies! Working Class hero Alf Tupper was an 18 year old who has worked as a welder, day laborer and plumber and lived off fish & chips, but whose passion was running. His efforts on the track however were usually hampered by a succession of "posh upper class twits "who resented having a common “guttersnipe” on their tracks, and ready to do anything, mostly cheating, to show him just how worthless he was. For over 50 years in 'The Rover' and later 'The Victor', Alf not only showed them who was the better runner, but the better person as he was often late for track meets due to him finishing his welding jobs, or stopping and helping people out on the way. #comic #classiccomics #UK #Hero #UKhistory #athletics #fishandchips #britishfood #socialhistory #1940 #1950 #1960 #1970 #1980 #alftupper #toughofthetrack#socialhistory #fishandchips

"Allo 'Allo" Good Moaning! Those in the know....know! Officer Crabtree: "I was pissing by the door, when I heard two shats. You are holding in your hand a smoking goon; you are clearly the guilty potty!" David Croft and Jeremy Lloyd wrote their parody with all their characters speaking English, but with ludicrously exaggerated ‘foreign’ accents. Tellingly, the two main British characters, English airmen Fairfax and Carstairs (John D. Collins and Nicholas Frankau), possessed the most outrageous accents of all (a theatrical cross between RAF slang and Bertie Wooster’s Drones-speak) and are utterly unable to understand the ‘English’ spoken by the French and German characters. This expert comedy device was refined in season two with the introduction of the undercover British agent Crabtree (Arthur Bostrom) whose “perfect” French (inspired by Prime Minister Ted Heath who spoke French with a posh English drone) is rendered as a horribly mangled mix of Franglais, malaprops and unintentionally scatological puns. Like everything in ’Allo ’Allo! it ’s funny because it is working on numerous levels, poking fun at the war and wartime dramas, but also consciously re-presenting it as French farce and pantomime. #classiccomedy #french #ww2 #wwII #theatrical #TV #comedy #television

Elon Musk is downright dangerous declaring that “civil war is inevitable” in the UK. The man who has promoted conspiracy theories and made controversial statements, leading to accusations of antisemitism and other outfield political perspectives needs to stay out of this! The eccentric with a talent for self-sabotage and sharing skewed views on international relations, including the China-Taiwan and Russia-Ukraine conflicts needs to wind his neck in and focus on his AI. What has the current situation across the pond got to do with him. He has no stake in this - Musk's decision to amplify the anti-immigrant rhetoric highlights the alarming role of social media influence this individual has on inflaming an already difficult situation. Maybe he should focus on reconnecting with his dozen or so children instead of spending $44 billion to become the world’s biggest mis and dis - informer! Musk's growing influence in the global geopolitical sphere is causing alarm - don’t forget - Musk ordered his Starlink satellite communications network to be turned off near the Crimean coast in 2022 to prevent a Ukrainian drone attack on Russian soil. Putin has since hailed Musk as an “outstanding person”…..great accolade Elon! #elonmusk #entrepeneur #russia #ukraine #AI #riots #UK #disinformation

Video Collection in Remote Operations Warfare. The emergence of approaches that counter threats at a distance, without the deployment of large military forces, is broadly defined as "Remote Operation Warfare" and is undeniably being shaped by the quality and reliability of video streaming technology. As warfare increasingly relies on smaller footprints, new technologies, and non-kinetic means, industry can offer powerful and enhanced, force-multiplying roles, improving substantially overall military effectiveness and efficiency. This transformative shift on the battlefield disrupts the ability to build a comprehensive situational awareness, picture and consequently the Commander's ability to make decisions in a timely manner. Used effectively it can reduce risk to human operators, and enable precision strikes. However, loss of signal, interrupted streaming, hacking and jamming of communication links, may compromise these remote operations. As technology continues to advance, one thing is certain: the future of military warfare will be increasingly defined by the power of high quality, remote, real-time information. LiveU is a leading developer of live video broadcasting and streaming solutions for unmanned aerial and ground vehicles (UAVs/drones, UGVs). With over 5,000 customers in 150 countries, its technology is trusted by broadcasters, government departments, public safety agencies, and other organizations worldwide. LiveU adds significant value to military situational awareness by enabling the viewing of high-quality, low-latency live UGV, UAS, Body, Vehicle and Fixed Cam video on any designated smart tactical or strategic system. #video #remoteoperations #military #defense #defence #streaming #information #data #battlefield CBRNE ATLANTIC BRIDGE (CAB) #cbrne #cbrn
