(Reduces cost, reduces weight and reduces manufacturing time) 🔹Standardisation of parts, which Can be used in multiple models and brands. 🔹The significant reduction in the number of components. 🔹A manager at Nissin Precision Machines (an automotive subcontractor) confides, "I was shocked by how few parts BYDs and Teslas contain." 🔹Among the EVs dismantled and exhibited by the Japanese: - Audi e-tron 2019 - BYD Yuan Plus Flagship 2022 - Citroën E-C4 2021 - Dacia Spring 2021 - Ford Mustang Mach-E 2021 - Jaguar I-PACE 2018 - Mercedes EQS 580 4MATIC 2022 - MINI EV 2021 - Nissan ARIYA 2022 - Nio eT5 75kw AWD 2022 - ORA Good Cat Poseidon 2021 - Tesla Model Y 2023 - Tesla Model Y Performance AWD 2020 - VW ID.4 2021 - XPENG P5 2021 • More than 90,000 parts from 16 models, including BYD's ATTO3 SUV (Yuan PLUS in China), the ET5 from Shanghai NIO, and Tesla's Model Y from United States, were on display. • One of the features of ATTO3 is the integration of advancing components. The E-Axle electric drive unit has a total of eight components, including a motor, inverter, and reducer, as well as an on-board charger and a DC-DC converter (DC voltage converter). As a result, component costs can be reduced, and weight can be reduced. • In addition, BYD is promoting the sharing of parts with other models for the ATTO3 and in-house production.
