    Prospera was a recipient of Capital Matrix's Economic Development Grant Program, in the amount of $10,000. The non-profit works to advance and inspire diverse economies and resilient communities in southwest Montana. The association established the 56Strong Montana Women’s Mentorship Program which has proven itself to be a transformative initiative for female entrepreneurs and business leaders across Montana. By fostering one-on-one mentorship connections across all Montana’s 56 counties, 56Strong empowers women to start, sustain, and grow their businesses. "The program’s focus on women entrepreneurs addresses a critical gap in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, empowering underrepresented business leaders to contribute to economic diversification and resilience.     Idaho Economic Development Association was a recipient of Capital Matrix's Economic Development Grant Program, in the amount of $7,000. The non-profit provides networking and professional development opportunities to economic development practitioners across Idaho. The association has 75 members, many of which work in small rural communities. Most of the economic developers in Idaho have a strong focus on supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses grow in their communities. "The Association seeks to bring in a recognized trainer within the field of supporting entrepreneurs to provide excellent training and tools for our local practitioners. It is our goal to bring the trainer, Zachary Barker, who runs the two-day entrepreneurship course for the University of Oklahoma program to the Boise region to train our practitioners at a fraction of the cost.  The goal of the training is to provide economic developers in Idaho with resources and tactics to take back to their communities to work with their small business owners and startups to grow thriving entrepreneurship cultures in our urban centers and most rural communities. " - Idaho Economic Development Association

    Meridian Chamber of Commerce was a recipient of Capital Matrix's Economic Development Grant Program, in the amount of $25,000. The non-profit was established in 1958 and is dedicated to promoting business community well-being, and economic development. The grant will go towards establishing an auditorium district in Meridian, ID that will serve as a sustainable funding source for the development and operation of a multipurpose indoor sports center. "Based on analysis results, a summary of key cost/benefit projections for a new multipurpose event/sports center in Meridian associated with its construction and annual operations is estimated that a new multipurpose event/sports center in Meridian would attract 439 events and nearly 220,700 attendee days, generating approximately $25.4 million in annual economic impact for the Meridian community." - Meridian Chamber of Commerce

    Jesse Tree was a recipient of Capital Matrix's Economic Development Grant Program, in the amount of $10,000. The non-profit provides support and funding to people being evicted in the local area. The grant will assist Jesse Tree with the Emergency Rental Assistance program, which provides one-time financial assistance and case management to low-income Treasure Valley tenants and families being evicted due to a temporary inability to pay rent. "Case management includes financial literacy education, trauma-informed support, and connections to needed resources and employment. Our case managers work with clients to create personalized housing stability plans that establish a self-sufficiency strategy after avoiding eviction. The grant from Capital Matrix will allow us to support five families within the Treasure Valley." - Jesse Tree

    In a continuing effort to give back to the communities we serve through grants to non- profit organizations, Capital Matrix awarded a $20,000 grant to Sweet Zola’s. The non-profit candy/gift shop hires and trains individuals with development disabilities so they can gain real world experience and refine their professional skills. The grant will assist Sweet Zola with their training program.    "Sweet Zola's is helping to normalize employment of those with disabilities for Idaho community members and businesses alike. Individuals are able to interact with the employees in the store and become more aware of the abilities of those with disabilities. This can help break down stigmas and combat discrimination, fostering a more supportive, inclusive employment atmosphere for those with disabilities." - Sweet Zola's

    Capital Matrix is proud to give back to the communities we serve through grants to non-profit organizations. This year we were able to provide 10 total grants, with the first going to Learning Lab Idaho in the amount of $15,000. This grant will help fund the Adult Literacy Program, which works to build a foundation for students, enabling them to create the lives and futures they envision for themselves. "Our Literacy for All program helps retain existing jobs by empowering individuals with the necessary skills and support systems. Through our Adult Education programs, we provide free, personalized literacy classes to low-literate, low-income adults and families. By offering a range of courses, from basic literacy to GED preparation and English language proficiency, we ensure that individuals are equipped to thrive in the workforce and advance their careers." - Learning Lab
