    Day 252 of running every day in 2024: Fastest 5k time of the year…first day of the year I’ve taken care of my body. Turns out, taking care of your body really does help performance..some quick stats: 116.5 hours running vs 1 professional massage (+1 massage gun session as of today) and 0 stretching. Also two weeks removed from my first marathon….wondering how that would have gone had I taken care of my body at any point leading up to it. Who knows though, could have been that 🚮 papa johns I had last night

    You're going to hate me soon. Hide yo phones boys n girls, we have started cold calling. So far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We have focused on two small groups a) people who we talked to in the past but the convos fell apart (more warm calling) b) a small, hyper targeted list For the longest time, I was TERRIFIED of cold calling. I think a lot of ppl are in the same boat. But doing what others won't seems to be helping us stand out.

    Want to increase the amount of revenue coming from flow emails in Klaviyo? 👀 A few pro tips: 1. Send them sooner (reduce your initial delays) - This just added over $10,000/mo in revenue for a client of ours on the re-stock flow. Turns out people would like to order more sooner. 2. Send more emails - Increased the conversion rate on our welcome series from 10.2% to 12.6% by adding in another email in the first 12 hours 3. Turn your smart sending off for flows - Audited an account last week and estimated smart sending had cost the brand $100,000+ over the last 12 months.

    In April we decided to try & crack outbound as a channel for our agency. So far, we’ve sent 300K emails to 88K people. To pull this off we have 150 domains with a total of 250 inboxes. We went the volume route - it was the fastest route to start getting (semi) immediate results. After having done it, I probably wouldn't suggest this route to someone else. While you get fast results, it can be hard to maintain & be sustainable (domains get burnt faster, harder to personalize, have to feed the beast). But once that faucets open, it’s hard to shut off. We’re currently working to lower the volume (some), create more personalized outreach (targeting multiple softwares, crafting more relevant messages, etc), and hiring an SDR to help handle leadflow. As a part of that, we also want to add in additional outbound touchpoints (calling, direct mail, etc). Drop q's or advice if you've got any.
