In the EMDE transition, there are several factors driving an investment inflection point including the introduction of blended finance: when development banks and other public institutions partner with financial corporations to blend public and private resources in more creative and targeted ways. An example of this is the $30 billion climate finance vehicle, ALTÉRRA fund, which employs catalytic capital, a type of blended finance.
