Overfishing is one of the greatest threats to marine biodiversity. Here are a few steps we can all take to help fish populations and the ocean rebound. 🦀Ask for seafood that’s sustainably caught or farmed. 🐟Ask your elected officials to ensure seafood in your country is legally harvested. 🎣Support policy reform aimed at responsible fishery management, as well as reducing illegal and unregulated fishing.

How do you turn an aging coal plant into a beacon of clean energy? With a $129M US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant, Cuyahoga County is doing just that. With the City of Painesville’s retirement announcement, Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign has retired 73% of US coal. 145 plants left to go!
Cuyahoga County has secured an @EPA grant for $129 million, retiring Painesville’s aging coal plant. Now, they can build new solar and install battery storage to power their homes and community. The grant will also restore habitats, expand tree coverage, and create pollinator habitats. This is a major victory for Painesville, Cleveland, and Cuyahoga County in the fight against climate change. https://bit.ly/4bW0P4X

Our #PublicArtChallenge encourages mayors to partner with artists and develop temporary public art projects that address civic issues and engage communities. "Wake the Great Salt Lake" by Salt Lake City Arts Council will commission public art installations to inspire locals and visitors alike to learn about how the decline of the Great Salt Lake could have major implications for the ecology and economy of the city and the surrounding region.
