In 1993 we started working with simulators, launching a wave of training that has led to something like this today. Proper training is key to combat effectiveness. JSE is an exciting endeavor and rewarding work for our team.
Navy advances development of Air Force’s new #JointSimulationEnvironment | #NAWCAD engineers successfully installed core software in the #USAirForce's future #JSE facility at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada bringing the #USAF closer to operating its own next-gen training and test facility. Nellis is the Air Force’s premier training and test center for advanced combat aviation. The JSE’s core software includes the digital elements that make up the facility including simulated variables like weather, the electromagnetic spectrum, surface and subsurface platforms, enemy aircraft and weapons systems, as well as domestic weapons systems. “The Joint Simulation Environment is the only training range where tactical aviators can fight like they would in real air combat,” said NAWCAD Executive Director, Steve Cricchi. “NAWCAD’s JSE is capability advantage helping American warfighters keep pace with the changing character of warfare—its importance cannot be overstated.” More on this and what our JSE team is up to next: https://lnkd.in/gJKvvFu9

Last week we visited the CAE facility in Pueblo CO for a close look at the operation. When I walked into the facility and started looking around and talking with CAE employees and students from across the globe I felt a tremendous recollection of a flying operation to such a level of excellence it made me incredibly comfortable and in awe of the attention to detail of a flying operation. Of the many events of the day, flying in a DA-20 with my former F-16 squadron mate Paul “Apple” McIntosh was the pinnacle of the day.
