✨ Hope, Healing & Heritage ✨ In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor Nol Wenly Jean Baptiste, Business Operations Manager with Baptist Heart Specialists. Nol’s journey from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Baptist Health is a powerful testament to resilience, hope and dedication. Born and raised in Haiti, Nol was taught to embrace who he is and believe in his potential to make a difference in the world. “My teachers always told us that we are the future and believed in our potential to make a difference in the world. I still carry their words with me and am determined to help build a bright future for all, inspired by the belief they had in me,” Nol shared. Nol's path wasn’t easy. After the devastating earthquake in 2010, which claimed the lives of many loved ones, Nol felt a deep desire to rebuild his homeland. In 2012, he came to the United States, hopeful for opportunities that would one day allow him to help Haiti. “As a young adult, I believed that by studying how things worked here, I could one day return to Haiti armed with the knowledge and tools to help rebuild my homeland,” Nol said. “I realize now that is just a dream. The reality is, Haiti continues to face immense challenges and while I still love Haiti and long to see it rise again, there are ways I can put my skills and passions to use here in my new home.” Today, at Baptist Health, Nol finds purpose and fulfillment by helping optimize daily operations, ensuring the best care for our patients. “Each day at Baptist Health is a new learning experience, and I find myself growing professionally and personally. The sense of purpose that comes with this work is incredibly fulfilling.” Despite the struggles that Nol has endured, he remains hopeful and strives to be a positive light for others. He attributes this mindset to his parents, saying that his mother always demonstrated the importance of seeing the world through the eyes of a child, with wonder and imagination. Nol’s father taught him that when you believe in yourself and your dreams, you are more inclined to dedicate time, energy and effort toward realizing them. “During Hispanic Heritage Month, I think not only of my family, my teachers and my community in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, but of the family I have built here, who have embraced me with open arms.” Nol's story is a reminder of the power of hope, resilience, and living with an open heart. “Through understanding and appreciation, we discover not only the beauty of diversity but also the connections that bind us all. Let our hearts be open, for in embracing each other’s heritage, we find the true path to a harmonious and empathetic world,” Nol added. #BaptistProud

We hope you’re staying safe after the storm! 🌧️ Tomorrow, all Baptist Health hospitals, offices and facilities will be open for normal operations. Our thoughts are with those across Florida impacted by Hurricane Milton. 💙 We also want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our amazing Plant Facilities team, especially at #BaptistJax in San Marco, for their hard work preparing our campuses for potential flooding and hurricane conditions. While many in the community were hunkering down or prepping their own homes, these team members sprang into action to do everything they can to keep our patients, team members and facilities safe. Thanks to our advanced flood protection system and backup pumps, our facilities located on the St. Johns River are well-prepared even during major storms. Great work, Plant Facilities! #BaptistProud
